Walking From Disney’s Caribbean Beach to the Riviera Resort For Dining is a Sure Thing
If you’re staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach, you’ll likely want to walk to Disney’s Riviera for a meal or two, maybe even three, during your stay. It’s a sure thing. Don’t get me wrong, the food court at Caribbean Beach has a decent selection of items. However, the quick service at Disney’s Riviera, Primo Piatto, is better than any other on Disney property. While staying at Caribbean Beach, we enjoy walking to the Riviera for blueberry lemon pancakes at breakfast.
We’ve also been known to place a couple of mobile orders for lunch and dinner to pick up on our way to the room. Of course, you might also want to walk to the Riviera for gourmet coffee, a meal at Bar Riva, a character breakfast, or whatever you fancy. The distance will largely depend on your room’s location.
Additionally, if you’re staying at Disney’s Riviera, there might be a time when you walk to Old Port Royale at Caribbean Beach. The resort’s hub offers a fun outdoor lounge at the Banana Cabana and table-service dining at Sebastian’s Bistro. Or you might want to enjoy a sunset walk around the lake mixed with the tropical vibes of Caribbean Beach. It’s one of the most stunning landscapes at Walt Disney World.
During our last stay at Caribbean Beach, I tracked the distance between the Riviera’s lobby and Old Port Royale, the lobby at Caribbean Beach. Here are the results:
Distance Between Disney’s Riviera Resort Lobby and Old Port Royale
- 0.28 Miles
- Approximately 6-minute walk
- 650 Steps
It’s a short walk to get between the lobbies of both resorts. Below is a photo of Old Port Royale taken from Disney’s Riviera Resort.
As you approach Old Port Royale, the colorful buildings come into view.
Here is a photo of where you enter the lobby.
Looking back, we can see Disney’s Riviera Resort in the distance.
Depending on your room’s location, you’ll have a few other options besides walking. For example, when we stayed in the Little Mermaid-themed rooms in Trinidad, I took the resort’s internal bus from the Trinidad bus stop to Aruba. At Aruba, I exited and walked the rest of the way to Disney’s Riviera. This route was much quicker than walking. I also could have walked to the Skyliner station at Caribbean Beach and taken the Skyliner to Disney’s Riviera. The only downside of both options is that you might have to wait in line for the Skyliner or the internal bus. The internal bus loops the resort approximately every 20 minutes.
Guests staying in Martinique or Aruba will be closest to Disney’s Riviera. Barbados and Jamaica will be slightly longer than what we tracked above. We’ll look more closely at room locations and distances at Caribbean Beach later this week.
