Staying at Kidani Village? Here's How Long You Can Expect the Bus Routes to Take!

One of the most significant benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort is having access to complimentary transportation options to popular destinations. When you stay at Kidani Village, the Disney Vacation Club Resort at Animal Kingdom Lodge, you’ll have one option: bus service. It’s also important to know that the resort’s bus service is shared between the Lodge (Jambo House) and Kidani Village. So you’ll have an extra stop either on the way to your destination or on the return trip.

Of course, you’re probably wondering how long it all takes. Unfortunately, we can’t estimate how long you’ll have to wait for the bus. But we can share the average time it takes to travel from Kidani Village to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs. We’ve tracked these routes (multiple times) to come up with a fair average.

For reference, the bus stop at Kidani Village is to your left when you exit the resort’s front entrance. It’s a covered bus stop with waiting areas for each destination. For the theme parks, you’ll stop at Jambo House before you leave the resort. However, for Disney Springs, you’ll leave the resort immediately. It’s a good idea to remember where to exit when you return and listen for the bus driver to announce the stop. If it’s late and you’re riding a packed bus with a sleeping child in your lap, you wouldn’t want to exit at the wrong stop.

Here are our tracked times for the buses at Kidani Village. Note that our travel times do not include how long we waited for the bus. Wait times signs are posted at the resort bus stop, indicating when the next bus will arrive. The times below are how long it’s taken us to get from the Kidani Village bus stop to the listed destination. For example, the 21 minutes to Magic Kingdom includes the time it took to stop at Jambo House. Again, these are the average of several trips and do not consider extenuating circumstances like significant traffic.
