Disney’s Hollywood Studios Tranportation Map, Locations, and Options
When planning a trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it’s good to learn your transportation options beforehand and how to locate them when you leave the park. The park is reasonably simple to navigate, but several complimentary modes of transportation are available.
Below, we’ll discuss transportation options and locations for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We’ve created a transportation map that provides a general idea of where to locate each mode. Complimentary options include the Skyliner (gondolas), FriendShips (boats), buses, and walking paths. We’ll also discuss parking, extra-cost car services (e.g., Minnie Vans, Lyft, and Uber), and the location for off-site hotel drop-offs and pick-ups.
Here is a map with an overlay showing the location of transportation options at Hollywood Studios main entrance. This map shows the following when exiting the park’s entrance:
- The Friendship Boat Dock is to the far left when exiting.
- The Disney Skyliner station is straight ahead.
- The resort bus stop is past the Skyliner station.
- The walkway to Epcot and surrounding resorts is to the far left of the bus stop.
- Minnie Vans pick up at the bus stop.
- The trams and parking lot are to the right of the exit.
- Car services drop guests off near the bus stop, where it says “Car Pick Up” below. Car services now pick guests up at bus station gates (indicated by signage).
- Off-site hotels pick up guests at the back of the bus station.
*Restrooms and snack machines are available between the Skyliner and bus stop.
Skyliner at Hollywood Studios
The Skyliner station at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is only a few steps from the park’s security checkpoint and formal entrance. You can take the Skyliner to Caribbean Beach Resort from Disney’s Hollywood Studios. When you reach Caribbean Beach, you must exit. From there, you can transfer to one line for Art of Animation and Pop Century or another that travels to Disney’s Riviera Resort and then to Epcot. See taking the Skyliner to park-hop between Epcot and Hollywood Studios for more details.
Friendship Boats at Hollywood Studios
When you exit the park, the Friendship boats are on the far left. They are almost unnoticeable. These boats travel to the surrounding Epcot Resorts and Epcot. They stop in the following order after departing from Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Leaving)
- Disney’s Swan and Dolphin (Exit here for Swan Reserve)
- Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club
- Disney’s Boardwalk
- Epcot
Disney’s Friendship boats are ECV, wheelchair, and stroller-friendly. Guests usually do not have to collapse wheelchairs or strollers when boarding. A spot is available for guests with ECVs toward the interior rear of the boat.
Resort Buses at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The bus station at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is past the Skyliner Station. The first two bays are dedicated to Walt Disney World Resort hotels. The following resorts do not offer bus service to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
- Skyliner Resorts (Riviera, Caribbean Beach, Art of Animation, and Pop Century)
- Epcot Resorts (Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk Inn, Swan and Dolphin, Swan Reserve)
*If the Skyliner is down, bus service is provided to and from the Skyliner Resorts.
Bus service is provided for those park-hopping to Magic Kingdom or Disney’s Animal Kingdom from Hollywood Studios or vice versa. Park-hopping buses begin running at 10:00 a.m.
A couple of resorts share a bus service to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. They are as follows:
- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Contemporary
- Disney’s Polynesian Village and Disney’s Grand Floridian
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and Kidani Village
If you want to learn more, we have an in-depth guide that details the Disney Resort’s Bus Schedules. Buses are ECV-accessible and wheelchair-friendly. Strollers must be collapsed/folded before guests board the bus.
Walking Path
A walking path runs from Disney’s Hollywood Studios to the surrounding resorts and Epcot. The path begins along the water to the far left of the bus stop. We take this path often, but some might consider it a long walk. The path branches off to the following resorts:
- Disney’s Boardwalk Inn
- Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club
- Disney’s Swan and Dolphin
- Walt Disney World Swan Reserve
It continues to Epcot. For specifics of the walking path, see Walking to Epcot from Hollywood Studios via the Boardwalk.
Parking and Trams
Hollywood Studios has a sizeable parking lot. A tram station sits outside the park’s entrance. You’ll likely want to take the tram to and from the area where you parked. Trams do not service the designated parking lot for guests with disabilities and preferred parking. However, those lots are closest to the entrance. For more on preferred parking, you might like to read our overview of parking at Disney World.
You’ll want to remember where you parked so you can find your car when it’s time to leave. We usually take a picture of the name and row number where we parked. A car locater is also available in the My Disney Experience app. If you ride the tram, a cast member will announce the name and row number as you pull away. Make sure to remember to make a note of it. After a long day in the parks, you would not want to wander the parking lot looking for your car. (If you forget to do this, tell a cast member who is working the trams. If you have an idea of what time you arrived, they should be able to give you an idea of what rows they were filling around that time.)
Minnie Vans
Minnie Vans at Disney’s Hollywood Studios pick up at Gate 30. (Make sure to check the sign on the way to the bus stop. The number could change from time to time.)
Private Car Pick Up and Off-Site Buses
Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft pick up at Gates 51 through 58. Taxis are available at Gate 50. (Check the Bus Directory sign to confirm the gate number hasn’t changed.)
