Epcot Transportation Map, Locations, and Options
Those planning to visit Epcot will want to be aware of their transportation options to and from the park. It is the most unique park for transportation because it has two entrances and offers more modes of transportation than any other park. I’ll be honest. We park at Epcot more than any other, especially when planning to park or resort-hop. It’s just convenient. We also prefer to stay in the Epcot Resorts Area more than any other location because of the location.
Below, we’ll discuss transportation options and locations for Epcot. We’ve created a transportation map that provides a general idea of where each mode of transportation is located at both entrances. Complimentary transportation options include the monorail, Skyliner (gondolas), FriendShips (boats), buses, and walking paths. We’ll also discuss parking, extra cost car services (e.g., Minnie Vans, Lyft, and Uber), and the location for off-site hotel drop-offs and pick-ups.
Epcot Transportation Map
Here is a map with an overlay showing the location of transportation options at Epcot’s main entrance. Underneath it is another map showing options at the park’s secondary entrance. This first map shows the following when exiting the park’s entrance:
- Monorail (Front and Center, Before the Exit.)
- Parking Lot Trams (Front and Center and To the Right)
- Parking Lots (On both sides of the tram path. Additional lots to the right may be used.)
- Resort Bus Stop (To the far left when exiting the park.)
- Minnie Vans (Pick up at the resort’s bus stop.)
- Off-Site Buses (Past the resort’s bus stop.)
- Private Car Services (Walkway in front of the resort bus stop leads to the pick-up area.)
I expanded the following map to include an overview of the main entrance but still focus on the International Gateway. You’ll use the International Gateway if you’re staying at or visiting an Epcot Resort or a Skyliner Resort. You’ll also use this entrance/exit to park-hop between Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Epcot’s International Gateway (often called the IG) is between the United Kingdom Pavilion and the bridge to the France Pavilion in the World Showcase. When you exit the International Gateway, the Skyliner will be to your immediate right, and the FriendShips (boats) will be across the walkway to the left. You can continue straightforward for the walking path around Crescent Lake.
Monorail at Epcot (Main Entrance Only)
If you’re staying at a monorail resort (Disney’s Contemporary, Polynesian Village, and Grand Floridian), the only complimentary transportation offered from that resort to Epcot is the monorail. You’ll board the monorail at your hotel, take it to the Transportation and Ticket Center, and then board a transfer monorail to Epcot. It takes some time, so you’ll want to leave early enough to allow plenty of travel time. For specifics, see How Long is the Monorail Ride from Grand Floridian to Epcot.
Guests can also park at Epcot and take the monorail to the Transportation and Center for Magic Kingdom. Or you can do vice versa, park at the TTC, and take the monorail to Epcot. You can do this based on your park-hopping strategy, considering where you want to start and where you want to end up.
The monorail platform at Epcot is on the second level. You’ll walk up a couple of sloping ramps to reach it. An elevator is available for guests with accessibility needs. The monorail accommodates guests with strollers, wheelchairs, and ECVS. You do not have to fold wheelchairs or strollers to board it.
Resort Bus Stop at Epcot (Main Entrance Only)
Some Disney Resorts offer bus service to Epcot. The bus station is to the far left when you exit the park. However, it’s essential to know your transportation options. The following resorts do not offer bus service to Epcot.
- Epcot Resorts (Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk Inn, Swan and Dolphin, Swan Reserve)
- Monorail Resorts (Grand Floridian, Polynesian Village, Contemporary)
- Skyliner Resorts (Riviera, Caribbean Beach, Art of Animation, and Pop Century)
*If the monorail or Skyliner is down, bus service will be provided to and from the resorts that offer those options. Epcot Resort guests are within walking distance, so an alternative is not offered if the boat service isn’t running.
Bus service is provided if you’re park-hopping to Disney’s Animal Kingdom from Epcot or vice versa. Park-hopping buses begin running at 10:00 a.m. If you want to learn more, we have an in-depth guide that details the Disney Resort’s Bus Schedules. Buses are ECV-accessible and wheelchair-friendly. Strollers must be collapsed/folded before guests board the bus.
Parking and Trams (Main Entrance Only)
Epcot has a tremendous parking lot. Cast members often fill the outskirts of the lot first and work their way to the center. If you’re in the outskirts, you’ll likely want to take the parking tram to the front of the park. Trams do not service the designated parking lot for guests with disabilities and preferred parking. However, those lots are closest to the entrance. For more on preferred parking, you might like to read our overview of parking at Disney World.
You’ll want to remember where you parked to find your car when it’s time to leave. We usually take a picture of the name and row number where we parked. A car locater is also available in the My Disney Experience app. If you ride the tram, a cast member will announce the name and row number as you pull away. Make sure to remember to make a note of it. After a long day in the parks, you would not want to wander the parking lot looking for your car. (If you forget to do this, tell a cast member who is working the trams. If you have an idea of what time you arrived, they should be able to give you an idea of what rows they were filling around that time.)

Minnie Vans (Main Entrance Only)
The Minnie Van service drops off and picks up at the front of the resort bus station. It’s on the first corner between bus stops 7 and 8. As you approach the bus stop, you’ll see a sign indicating where to wait for Minnie Vans. (You can’t miss it.)
Rideshare (Main Entrance Only)
The rideshare location at Epcot changed in 2024. You’ll now walk to the resort bus stop. When you reach the first corner (bus stop 8), you’ll continue on the extended walkway behind it. The rideshare area is probably about 50′ or so past the bus station.
Skyliner (International Gateway Entrance Only)
When you exit the park at the International Gateway, the Skyliner is on the immediate right. You can board it to travel to Disney’s Riviera Resort or stay on to continue to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. At Caribbean Beach, you must exit. From there, you can transfer to Pop Century and Art of Animation or take a separate line to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. See taking the Skyliner to park-hop between Epcot and Hollywood Studios for more details.
FriendShips (International Gateway Entrance Only)
When you exit the International Gateway, the FriendShips will be on the immediate left. You can take a Friendship boat to the other Epcot Resorts or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. When the boats leave Epcot, they stop in the following order:
- Disney’s Boardwalk Inn
- Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club
- Disney’s Swan and Dolphin (Exit here for Swan Reserve)
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios
*Note that the walking path to the Beach and Yacht Club is much shorter than taking the boat.
Walking Paths (International Gateway Entrance Only)
Lastly, you can walk from the neighboring resorts to Epcot’s International Gateway. This is one of the most pleasant places to walk at Walt Disney World and the most convenient place to walk from a resort to a theme park. The entire Epcot Resort Area is stunning. The walk between the Beach and Yacht Club to Epcot averages 8-10 minutes, depending on your starting point. Boardwalk is about 10-12 minutes, and the Swan and Dolphin averages 15 minutes.
