Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort’s Bus Travel Times (How Long Does it Take?)
As you plan your Disney World vacation, you’ll want to be aware of the many benefits available to resort guests. One of the most significant benefits is complimentary transportation, which we consider a huge time saver. You won’t have to deal with directions or figuring out parking logistics, and you won’t have to remember where you parked your car at the end of the day. You’ll simply walk to the bus stop and let Disney take care of the rest. Of course, a packed bus at the end of the day isn’t as dreamy as it sounds. But it’s still convenient.
Guests of Disney’s Polynesian will have access to multiple forms of complimentary transportation, including the monorail, boat service, bus service, and walking. You’ll need to know which transportation mode to take for each destination. For example, bus service is the only option for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs. It’s also important to know that the Polynesian often shares bus service to these destinations with Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. You’ll have an extra stop on the way to the parks, but you’ll be the first drop-off on the return trip. This is how the routes work:
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (1st Stop)
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort (2nd Stop)
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Destination)
The return trip looks like this:
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Board Bus)
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (1st Stop)
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort (2nd Stop)
*Extra buses are usually available to the theme parks first thing in the morning. So, you might not always have that extra stop.
The bus stop at Disney’s Polynesian Resort is to the left when you exit the Great Ceremonial House’s front entrance. It sits directly under the monorail tracks. A few pavilions are available, but the surrounding area is not covered. So, if it’s raining, you’ll have a decent outdoor walk to the lobby or your building.
Here are our average travel times for the bus service at Disney’s Polynesian. It’s important to note that our travel times do not include how long we waited for the bus. Wait times signs are posted at the resort bus stop, indicating when the next bus will arrive. The times below are how long it takes to get between the resort and the destination. They are the average of several trips and do not consider extenuating circumstances like significant traffic.
