Our Travel Times for the Buses at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
Staying at a Disney World hotel has its perks. One of those benefits is having access to complimentary transportation. I can’t stress the convenience enough. You won’t have to deal with directions, traffic, or trying to remember where you parked your car. It’s a huge timesaver compared to managing things yourself.
Those staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian can access multiple forms of complimentary transportation from the resort. Those options include the monorail, boat service, bus service, and walking. However, each option is restricted to unique destinations. For example, bus service is the only option for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs. It’s also important to know that Grand Floridian often shares bus service to these destinations with Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. You’ll be the last stop on the way to the parks, so you’ll have an extra stop on the return trip. This is how the routes work:
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (1st Stop)
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort (2nd Stop)
- Disney Springs (Destination)
The return trip looks like this:
- Disney Springs (Board Bus)
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (1st Stop)
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort (Destination)
*Extra buses are usually available to the theme parks first thing in the morning. So, you might not always have that extra stop.
Grand Floridian’s bus stop is outside the main entrance to the right. It’s on the walkway that leads to the nearby convention center. If you walk out the front doors and don’t see it, ask a cast member, and they’ll point you in the right direction. The bus stop is partially covered with several benches. It’s a small area that gets a little congested during the busier times of day.
Here are our bus travel times at Disney’s Grand Floridian. It’s important to note that our travel times do not include how long we waited for the bus. They are the average of several trips and do not consider extenuating circumstances like significant traffic.
