Napa Rose at Disneyland’s Grand Californian to Close for Refurbishment this Spring
In a string of announcements for Disneyland today, Disney shared that the award-winning Napa Rose at the Grand Californian Hotel and Spa will close for refurbishment this Spring. The restaurant is expected to re-open later this Fall (2025) with a new interior and enhanced outdoor patio.
Per Disney, the dining experience will be taken to a whole new level with its exquisite new look that celebrates Craftsman design with an eye toward modern Californian luxury and approachability. The restaurant will have a rustic elegance and will be a tapestry of California’s storied history of wine and winemaking, using natural textures such as reclaimed French oak flooring and columns (a type of wood used to make wine barrels), hand-pinged artisan metals, leathers, deep colors of cabernet, and an eye-catching chandelier inspired by California’s Mission grapevines.
Along with its existing dynamic exhibition kitchen, the restaurant will expand the counters where guests can watch the masters in action. Outside, the gorgeous patio is being enhanced with more seating for lovely al fresco dining, with two new fireplaces adding to the charming ambiance.

When the restaurant reopens, it will introduce a new menu highlighting California cuisine. However, fan favorites like the Smiling Tiger Salad will remain available, as will the wine collection, which features over 1,500 labels. Temporary updates will be made available to dining offerings at the resort during the refurbishment period.
Other announcements released today include the addition of two new club-level lounges at the Disneyland Hotel and Grand Californian and updated room refreshes coming to the Grand Californian.
