A Look Inside Crockett’s Tavern at Disney’s Fort Wilderness
Crockett’s Tavern is the bar and lounge at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. It is open daily from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and shares a location with Trail’s End Restaurant. Crockett’s Tavern is part of The Settlement area of the resort. Most guests will take a boat from Magic Kingdom to get to Fort Wilderness. When you exit the boat, you’ll continue straight from the dock to The Settlement. This area is home to a variety of resort amenities, including The Settlement Trading Post, Hoop Dee Doo Revue, an arcade, and a giant playground, among a few other things.
With so many changes coming to Fort Wilderness, I thought we’d take a fresh look at a few things, starting with Crockett’s Tavern. Per the signage, you can expect Frontier Fixin’s and Friendly Folk, and I completely agree. Fort Wilderness is one of the friendliest places around, and the menu at Crockett’s Tavern has a few intriguing items.
Here’s the rundown:

Crockett’s Tavern has two options: an outdoor walk-up window where guests can order beverages or indoor seating. Below is a photo of the serving window. If the weather is nice enough, you might find a rocking chair outside on the porch to take in the views of Bay Lake in the distance.
Here is the selection of beers and seltzer drinks available on this visit.
Below, we have a photo of the Crockett’s Tavern To-Go Menu. It includes a variety of moonshine cocktails, front porch sippin’ cocktails, zero-proof cocktails, assorted draft and canned beers, Disney’s Family of Wines, and additional wines. The Disney Family of Wines included Fess Parker Riesling, Silverado Sauvignon Blanc, MacMurray Ranch Pinot Noir, and Fess Parker Frontier Red.
About These Wines: The Fess Parker wines were named after Fess Parker, an American actor who played in Walt Disney’s Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone television series. After retiring from acting, he started the Fess Parker Family Winery, which is still family-owned and operated. The MacMurray Ranch is attributed to Fred MacMurray, who played in a number of Disney films, including The Shaggy Dog and The Absent-Minded Professor. Lastly, the Silverado Sauvignon Blanc comes from Silverado Vineyards in Napa Valley, a vineyard established in 1981 by Ron, Diane Disney Miller, and Lillian Disney.
If you dine inside, you’ll likely find plenty of seating. Here is a photo of the lounge menu
Menu items include:
- A Trio of Sliders
- Macaroni and Cheese Burger
- Crispy Cauliflower
- Fried Green Tomato Sandwich
- Chicken Bites
- Charcuterie Board
- Trail Blazin’ Dessert Trio
Since Crockett’s Tavern is connected to Trail’s End, you could combine menu items from both locations and call it dinner. Of course, the lounge menu is substantial enough to count for dinner on its own. But if you have children, you can order kids’ meals at Trail’s End (or fried chicken dinner).
Here is the entire beverage menu inside the restaurant. Note that the All Aboard! Moonshine Cocktail Flight is not available to order on the Disney Dining Plan.
Here’s a photo that shows how both locations are connected. Trail’s End is just up those stairs in the photo below, and Crockett’s Tavern is to the right.
Crockett’s Tavern is a rustic space that’s warm and inviting. It’s probably the largest lounge in all of Walt Disney World. If you didn’t know, Fort Wilderness is a tremendous resort, and if the neighboring Reflections Resort is ever built between it and the Wilderness Lodge, it will connect all the pieces of the puzzle.
In the past, you could walk between the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness, but the path was closed back in 2019 to make way for the construction of Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Lodge. However, the global pandemic put those plans on the back burner. But now, with the Cabins of Disney’s Fort Wilderness becoming part of the Disney Vacation Club, it looks like we might eventually see plans for the new Reflections Resort come to fruition. During our visit, a bus driver pointed out that the former walking path had recently been repaved.
Here are a few interior photos of Crockett’s Tavern.
We love visiting the lounges at Walt Disney World and consider them among the best places to have dinner. They don’t require reservations, they offer freshly prepared menu items, and the prices are typically somewhere between quick service and table service restaurants. For us, dining at a lounge is a win-win. For more family-friendly lounges, you might enjoy:
