Where to Find Coffee at Disney’s Contemporary Resort (Regular & Specialty Options)
For most, coffee is an essential part of a Walt Disney World vacation. Whether you require a cup to function each morning or a boost after spending the better part of the day in the draining sun, you’ll have options. If you’re staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, you’re in luck. Not only does the resort’s quick service have coffee at the ready, a dedicated coffee shop is available in the first-floor lobby. But there’s one catch, it closes early. So below, we’ll discuss where (and when) you can find coffee during your stay.

Coffee Options at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Below we’ve listed the resort’s coffee menus where available. It’s essential to note that complimentary coffee is provided in all of the resort’s hotel rooms. Most standard rooms have individual cup coffee makers.
Contemporary Grounds
Contemporary Grounds is the resort’s dedicated coffee shop. It’s located off the lobby near the resort’s main entrance.
- Location: Contemporary’s First-Floor Lobby
- Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.*
- Disney Dining Plan: No (Does not accept the DDP.)
*Hours can vary. Check the My Disney Experience app for exact hours during your stay.
Here are the options:
- Walt Disney World Resort Blend Coffee
- Double Espresso
- Shakin Jamaican Cold Brew

- Vanilla Latte (available flavors Mocha, Caramel, Hazelnut, Irish Cream)
- Hot Chocolate
- Frozen Cappuccino Dream

Contempo Cafe
The resort’s quick service restaurant, Contempo Cafe, only offers standard coffee. I guess that’s the trade-off of having a coffee shop on the first floor that closes way earlier than it should.
- Location: Resort’s 4th Floor (Grand Concourse)
- Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Disney Dining Plan: Yes
- Mobile Orders: Yes
*Hours can vary. Check the My Disney Experience app for exact hours during your stay.
Coffee Options
- Freshly Brewed Joffrey’s Coffee (Regular or Decaf)
- Classic Cold Brew Coffee
- Twinings Hot Tea
Please note that menu items are subject to change. You can check pricing here on Disney’s website or via the My Disney Experience app.
Unfortunately, the quick service doesn’t offer any specialty coffees at this time. So if Contemporary Grounds has closed for the day, you might take the monorail to the TTC (Transportation and Ticket Center) and order a coffee from the Joffrey’s stand. It’s between the resort monorail and ferry entrance. Or you can continue on the monorail to Kona Island at the Polynesian, which stays open until about 8:00 p.m. (See Where to Get Coffee at Disney’s Polynesian for more details.)
Tip: I have ordered coffee from Contempo Cafe in the late afternoon on several occasions. I always ask the cast member in the area if it’s fresh. From my experience, they almost always prepare a fresh brew. We have pictures and details for the beverage refill station in our refill mug guide for the Contemporary.

Steakhouse 71
Steakhouse 71 is the resort’s primary table service restaurant that’s off the first-floor lobby. They offer several coffee drinks on their breakfast menu. I can also vouch for the Steakhouse 71 Lounge. They’ve been kind enough to brew me a fresh cup after 5:00 p.m. (The restaurant requires reservations but takes walk-ups based on availability. It’s often busy at breakfast.)
- Freshly Brewed Joffrey’s Coffee Regular or Decaf
- Twinings Hot Tea
- Espresso
- Cappuccino
- Latté
- Coffee
- Joffrey’s Cold Brew
- Press Pot Peru Alto Mayo Protected Forest Coffee Roasted by Joffrey’s Coffee (Disney supports Conservation International’s Alto Mayo Protected Forest project in Peru, which promotes sustainable coffee growing and economic growth. This pot serves two.)
Wake-Up Call
- Curious Cold Brew (Maker’s Mark Bourbon, Joffrey’s Coffee™ Cold Brew, Maple, Vanilla Bean Cream)
Please note that menu items are subject to change. You can check pricing here on Disney’s website or via the My Disney Experience app.

Other Options
Chef Mickey’s has a few coffee selections on their breakfast menu. This is a character meal that requires reservations. It is also likely that you can order a cup of coffee from California Grill, the resort’s signature dining location. (California Grill has an extensive selection of tea. This restaurant is only open for dinner and offers a prix fixe menu.)
As a reminder, you can take the monorail to the TTC to access the Joffrey’s stand or to the Polynesian for Kona Island. While it’s nice that the Contemporary has a dedicated coffee location, it’s frustrating that it’s not open later. We have this same issue with the coffee shop at Disney’s BoardWalk.
