A Coffee Lover’s Guide to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo House and Kidani Village)

An extra dose of caffeine is often needed for those long days in the parks at Walt Disney World. Of course, for some, it’s also part of the resort experience. Imagine waking up each morning at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, only to savor a cup of coffee on your room’s balcony with a view of animals grazing below on the savanna. I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a vacation to me.
Of course, you will need a savanna view room to have that exact experience. If not, you can always venture to one of the resort’s public viewing areas to enjoy a similar view. The only thing missing? Coffee! So below, we’ll discuss all your options for coffee at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. We’ve included options for both Jambo House (the main lodge) and Kidani Village (the Disney Vacation Club Resort on the same property).

Where to Find Coffee at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
We’ve listed each coffee stop at the resort below.
In-Room Coffee
Every hotel room at Disney offers an individual cup coffee maker with accompaniments at the bare minimum. If you’re staying in a standard room at Jambo House, you’ll have a two-cup coffee maker. All deluxe studios or larger at Jambo House and Kidani Village will have a full-size coffee maker. Below is a photo of the one in our deluxe studio on our last stay. Regular and decaf Joffrey’s coffee, creamer, and sweeteners are provided.

The Mara (Jambo House)
The Mara is the primary quick service restaurant for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge as a whole. Most guests staying at Kidani Village will walk or take the shuttle to Jambo House for quick service dining. The Mara is the primary place to order coffee without a dining reservation between the resorts. (Note that if you’re staying at Kidani Village, you can also order coffee from Sanaa, which is a quick service at breakfast only. We’ve provided specifics further below.)

Boma, Flavors of Africa
Boma, Flavors of Africa is an African-inspired buffet-style restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. In most instances, you’ll want reservations since it’s a table service restaurant. Guests visit from all over to dine here. It’s delicious. The menu offers a few specialty coffee selections in addition to regular and decaf coffee.
- Joffrey’s Coffee Cold Brew (Dark Roast, Half & Half, Whipped Cream)
- Flavored Cold Brew (Joffrey’s Coffee Cold Brew Dark Roast, Half & Half, Whipped Cream, served with your choice of flavoring: Swiss Chocolate, Hazelnut, Vanilla, or Salted Caramel)
- Cappuccino (Double Espresso, Steamed Milk with a frothy layer of Foam)
- Caffè Latte (Double espresso, steamed creamy milk, and a light foam.)
- Espresso Shot (Double)
You can preview the Boma menu with prices here on Disney’s site.
Sanaa (Kidani Village)
Sanaa is the table service restaurant at Kidani Village. However, it’s a casual, quick service location for breakfast. If you’re staying at Kidani Village, Sanaa is your best bet for a specialty coffee first thing in the morning. Here are your options:
Sanaa Breakfast Coffee Menu
- Cappuccino
- Double Cappuccino
- Caffè Latte
- Double Café Latte
- Espresso
- Double Espresso
- Freshly Brewed Joffrey’s Coffee
- Twinings Hot Tea
Sanaa Lunch and Dinner Coffee
It’s worth mentioning that Sanaa offers a press pot of coffee and loose leaf teapot for lunch and dinner. I can vouch for the loose leaf teapot.
- Freshly Brewed Joffrey’s Coffee Press Pot Coffee (Kenya AA)
- Loose Leaf Teapot (Organic Rooibos, Vanilla Rooibos, Thunderbolt Darjeeling, Herbal Spice Chai, Organic Assam)
Please note that menu items are subject to change. You can check pricing here on Disney’s website or via the My Disney Experience app.

Johari Treasures (Kidani Village)
Johari Treasures it the gift shop off the lobby of Kidani Village. This is where you’ll refill your Rapid Fill mug with coffee when staying at Kidani Village. The gift shop is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Other Options
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is pretty much to itself. So there won’t be any nearby resorts with alternatives. However, all four theme parks and Disney Springs have a Starbucks and Joffrey’s location. Valid admission is required to enter the theme parks.
