Disney Reveals Moana Sculpture at the New Island Tower Splash Pad at Disney’s Polynesian Villas
Walt Disney Imagineering has revealed a video of a life-size Moana sculpture that’s part of the splash pad at the new Island Tower Hotel at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows. The video mentions that Moana is positioned as facing Seven Seas Lagoon, so she can do a little wayfinding across the water to reach Magic Kingdom. Disney has also released a few more photos since we originally published this article.
The new Island Tower is scheduled to open on December 17, 2024. Here are a few previously released details about the splash pad.
The tower addition will include a new fitness center and pool area. Offering both aquatic fun and a relaxing escape, the new Cove Pool has a courtyard with a sandy beach area, whirlpool spa and magnificent views of Seven Seas Lagoon. Little ones can discover Moana’s Voyage—a new splash area with a figure of Moana and her iconic outrigger canoe, plus fun water features.
