Guests Can Learn to Draw “Favorite Seafarers” from ‘Moana’ for a Limited-Time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Starting today, guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom can learn to draw their favorite character from Moana at The Animation Experience at Conservation Station. Per Disney’s announcement:
Starting Nov. 27, 2024, for a limited time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, guests can stop by The Animation Experience at Conservation Station where a talented Disney animator gives step-by-step instructions on how to bring our favorite characters to life!
Here is an image of a Pua sketch released by Disney. Do you think you can draw it? With a little instruction from one of Disney’s incredible animators, I would be willing to bet you could. We are always surprised at how well our drawings turn out.
The Animation Experience is hosted at Conservation Station. Therefore, you’ll need to take the Wildlife Express Train from Africa to Rafiki’s Planet Watch for this experience. A class is offered once every 45 minutes, usually between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. You can check the exact hours in the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit. Seating is first come, first serve. You’ll want to arrive early enough to get a seat. This experience is popular, so you’ll want to consider timing before taking the train. For example, you wouldn’t make it if you boarded the train at 9:50 a.m. for the 10:00 a.m. class. We like to arrive at least 30 minutes before the next class.
While in the area, you might also plan to meet Rafiki or Timon. They currently meet intermittently throughout the day, and their times are listed in the My Disney Experience app.
