New Island Tower Rooms Photos at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows
Disney has released photos of the Island Tower rooms that will debut with the new Disney Vacation Club Tower, which is being built between Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian. The Island Tower addition to Disney’s Polynesian Village and Bungalows is expected to open on December 17, 2024.
Let’s check out a few of these photos and details, starting with the Island Tower Studio for two guests. This unit will be comparable to the tower studio that originally debuted at Disney’s Riviera Resort. It’s perfect for individuals and parties of two. A queen size bed pulls down from the wall when it’s time to rest. While it is a small space, you can step outside on the balcony for expansive views of the vacation kingdom. That looks like Cinderella Castle in the distance!
Next, we have the deluxe studio at the Island Tower, which will sleep up to four guests. Disney noted in their release that the studio has a new look and an appliance not generally offered in this room type–a dishwasher.
Here, we have the kitchen, dining, and living areas layout in the one-bedroom and two-bedroom villas. The living area appears to have a queen-size pull-down bed and a single pull-down bed underneath the television. Units will have standard appliances and a washer and dryer.
Here is the layout of the second bedroom for the two-bedroom villas.
Lastly, the new Island Tower will have a new type of unit dubbed the Two-Bedroom Penthouse Villa. Per Disney:
Themed after the calming balance between water and the islands, the stunning villas will sleep up to eight and boast a spacious living room, and spectacular views of the Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom Park from an expansive patio balcony.

All units will have artwork and design inspired by the Polynesian Islands, wayfinding, and natural earth, water, wind, and sky elements. Guests can expect to see favorite characters from Disney’s Moana, like Moana, Grandma Tala, Maui, Hei Hie, Te Fiti, and more! Here is a video of some of those fun elements.
Disney Vacation Club members can now make reservations at the new Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalow. Other guests can begin making reservations this week (June 5th for annual passholders) and (June 6 for all other guests).
