Egg-Clusive Photos of Disney’s Grand Floridian’s Easter Egg Display (2024)
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is our next stop on our Easter egg hop. In 2024, the Grand Floridian has the most significant display of Easter eggs. The display debuted on March 3, 2024, and will be available through Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024.
Given the Grand Floridian’s lobby size, the resort often has twice as many Easter eggs as the other participating resorts. So, if you don’t have time to visit every resort, the Grand Floridian might be your best bet. They also have a Grand Cottage set up in the lobby with unique treats to celebrate the occasion. We’ll preview a list of treats toward the end of this article.
We spent a little over an hour taking photos of the Easter eggs at Grand Floridian. I believe we have each one, but a few were missing name cards, or we missed them. With so many people already visiting the resort to see the eggs, we had to hop around a good bit while taking photos. We’ll start with an egg themed to The Sword in the Stone.
This next egg is themed to Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. The talent keeps coming with this stunning light display and representation of the iconic Hollywood Studios replica of the TCL Chinese Theater, which houses the attraction. Here are a few photos.
The following two eggs feature Daisy Duck and The Princess and the Frog. These eggs were both part of last year’s display.
Here, we have an egg whose shape was cut in half and used as a Koi Pond. What a fun perspective!
This next egg features the animation process. It’s a gorgeous piece with unique details.
Next, we see a carton of eggs painted to resemble villains: Ursula, Queen of Hearts, Lotso, and Scar.
The Emperor’s New Groove is represented in this next Easter Egg. What an expression! Yzma is eyeing an interesting egg herself.
Unfortunately, this next egg didn’t have a name card present yet. But it was indeed an extraordinary work of art, from the air-brushed egg down to the chocolate modeling.
Elemental was represented by eggs resembling Ember (Fire) and Wade (Water).
We see another returning egg from last year, the Munchling, whose setting is an old-fashioned kitchen.
This next egg represents the Main Street Electrical Parade.
This next egg was the most elegant, representing Aladdin.
It gets extra points for the creative hidden Mickey.
Each year, chefs participate in a demonstration of hand-painting an egg in the lobby. They work on the egg for about a week. If you stay at the resort, it’s fun to walk through each day and see the progression. This is the egg from last year’s demonstration.
Next, we have Al’s Toy Barn from Toy Story.
Perhaps the most elaborate and popular egg this year is the Beauty and the Beast-themed egg. This egg sits in the center of the display on a rotating stand.
This next egg represents popular Disney Parks snacks. What a fun idea!
Look how popcorn was used to trim the bottom of the egg!
If I were giving out awards, this next egg would get the one for being the cutest! I had no idea baby dragons were so cute.
We have a few returning more returning eggs.
Each year, a giant egg is created as part of the display. This year, that egg represents James and the Giant Peach.
An incredible egg sculpture of the Kakamora from Moana comes next. We love the use of the egg-shapes in this creation!
Our last egg is one in process. This is the 2024 cast member demonstration egg design that’s hand-painted in the lobby. We’ll revisit the resort soon for an update and look at the finished masterpiece.
If you’re visiting the Grand Floridian during the next month, you might choose to pick up a treat or two at The Grand Cottage. This has become a newer tradition in recent years, offering select treats, including hot cross buns and chocolate bunnies, two Easter staples.
The Grand Cottage is open daily between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. If you’re visiting Magic Kingdom, you can hop on the resort monorail and visit the Grand Floridian for a little Easter fun. Here is a photo of the menu and a few treats.
