Fire Rock Geyser at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge (Photos and Info)
We love to visit Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. It’s the perfect place to escape the busyness of Walt Disney World. No matter how often we’ve visited, seeing Fire Rock Geyser in action is always a treat.
Designed to look like Old Faithful, the geyser starts from a hot spring inside the resort’s lobby. The stream trickles down the resort’s scenic landscape, eventually becoming a waterfall. It then continues into the Copper Creek Springs Pool and follows a path toward Bay Lake. As you follow the wooden boardwalk, you’ll see a rock formation. This is where Fire Rock Geyster erupts every hour on the hour between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
The Geyser sprays water into the air up to 120 feet! Here are a few photos from a recent visit. The water and the sun’s angle provided a neat rainbow effect on this chilly afternoon.
You might also see it erupting if you visit the Wilderness Lodge by boat. It’s pretty cool to see it from this unique vantage point.
