Disney’s Art of Animation and Pop Century at Christmas (A Photo Tour)
Who wears it better? I’ll let you judge which Christmas decorations are the best at Disney’s Art of Animation and Pop Century. Given their differences, I’m sure you will prefer one over the other. Regardless, both resorts have pretty trees and a few other decorations in their lobby. But it’s no secret that the tree at Art of Animation is a little more unique than most. Below, we’ll preview photos of both trees and their decorations.
I wouldn’t think visiting either resort to see the decor was necessary. But if you’re taking a Skyliner hop, you could always stop for a few minutes. We often enjoy taking a sunset walk around Disney’s Art of Animation. It’s one of the best resorts for family photos. Children love to see the larger-than-life characters that make up each section. So they will likely be entertained.
Art of Animation at Christmas
The stunning tree at Disney’s Art of Animation is sold white. However, it’s wrapped in vibrant primary colors from the bottom to the top.
Many of these colors reflect those used around the resort, which is only fitting given that the resort is inspired by the art of animation.
Film strips make up a garland around the tree, representing ink and pencil sketches before they were treated with paint.
Each frame has drawings depicting the characters in various stages of movement. Here we have Simba from The Lion King.
Ariel from The Little Mermaid is also featured.
A festive garland hangs above the entrance to the Animation Hall.
Wreaths match the tree and are decorated with similar colors.
They, too, have sketches, including some from Cars and Finding Nemo. Art of Animation is made up of four sections, each one represented by the films mentioned.
It’s a cheerful tree.
Pop Century at Christmas
We’ll walk across the bridge to Pop Century and check out the resort’s Christmas decorations. A tall Christmas tree sits in the lobby’s center, a few feet from the Everything Pop Gift Shop.
Here are a few photos of the decorations.
Both of the trees do well in representing their resorts. Are you partial to one over the other?
