Shops at Disney’s BoardWalk to Undergo Refurbishment in 2025

Just as we thought the multi-year refurbishment of Disney’s BoardWalk was complete, another notice has been posted. This notice is regarding the extended gift shop with three entrances. Each shop has a unique name:

Screen Door General Store
Character Carnival
Thimbles and Threads

Per Disney:

From January 2025 through May 2025, the merchandise locations along Disney’s BoardWalk will be refurbished in phases. Two merchandise locations will remain available for Guests throughout the refurbishment. During this time, Guests may see and hear construction activity in the area.
