Disney Announces Re-Opening Date for Typhoon Lagoon Water Park in 2025
Disney has announced that Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will re-open on May 1, 2025. It will be the first day that the park is open in 2025. Disney’s Blizzard Beach will remain open through the end of April in celebration of the water park’s 30th anniversary.
Over the last few years, the water parks have not operated simultaneously. Typhoon Lagoon has been open in the hotter portions of the year, typically between March and early November. Disney’s Blizzard Beach has been open during the cooler months, typically November through mid-March. Previously, the water parks were open year-round. However, each closed for about two months out of the year for an annual refurbishment. That refurbishment period was usually during the cooler months, and one park always remained open.
If you’re visiting in 2025, you’ll likely want to be aware of a special water park benefit for Disney Resort guests. Per Disney, guests can enjoy complimentary access to a water park (based on availability) on their check-in day in 2025. If you intend to use this benefit, you’ll want to know which park will be operational during your stay.
