List of Attractions With Height Requirements at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon
Typhoon Lagoon is a popular water park, and it’s easy to see why. With its thrilling slides, lazy river, and tremendous wave pool, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Even better, only two attractions at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon have a minimum height requirement, and a few attractions geared toward little ones have a maximum height!
Below, we’ll preview the list of attractions at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon with height requirements. While thrill rides like Humunga Kowabunga and Crush ‘n’ Gusher have minimum height requirements, rides like the lazy river, wave pool, and a few slides are open to everyone. However, there are still a few things you’ll want to consider when visiting with toddlers and preschoolers.
How Disney Water Parks Operate
It’s important to note that Disney’s water parks operate on a rotational schedule. Blizzard Beach is typically open between early November and March, and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is open between March and November. You’ll want to check the exact hours and availability for your visit.
Typhoon Lagoon Attractions with Height Requirements
The following attractions have minimum height requirements at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon.
- Crush ‘n’ Gusher (48 inches or taller)
- Humunga Kowabunga (48 inches or taller)
*While Miss Adventure Falls doesn’t have a minimum height requirement, guests must be able to sit in the raft on their own and hold both handles behind them throughout the ride. Many attractions post warnings that infants cannot ride and expectant mothers should not.
The following attractions at Typhoon Lagoon have maximum height requirements:
- Bay Slides (60 inches or less)
- Ketchakiddee Creek (48 inches or less)
The following attractions do not have height requirements.
- Castaway Creek
- Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool
- Miss Adventure Falls
- Gangplank Falls
- Keelhaul Falls
- Mayday Falls
- Storm Slides
The pool depth at slide exits averages 3’6″ (3 feet and 6 inches). Castaway Creek, the lazy river, runs three to four feet deep. The Surf Pool generates waves up to six feet high, and the deepest end of the wave pool is approximately 12′ (12 feet).
If you are concerned about tackling the wave pool with smaller children, you might enjoy a spot along Blustery Bay by the Bay Slides. This area is designed for smaller children. A retaining wall by the slides acts as a buffer, keeping the taller waves from entering the space.
