Singapore Sal’s (The Gift Shop at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon)
Singapore Sal’s is the primary gift shop at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park. The store sells souvenirs and other water park-related merchandise. Below, we’ll browse a few photos of what you can expect to find during your visit. As with all of our gift shop posts, specific items may or may not be available when you visit. The idea of this post is to provide you with an overview of the types of items that will be available. For instance, if you forget to bring goggles, Singapore Sal’s sells them. So you can purchase another pair even though you probably already have half a dozen pairs lying around your house back home. (It’s the one thing we always forgot to bring when my son was growing up.)
Singapore Sal’s Souvenirs and Saleable Salvage continues the theme of Typhoon Lagoon. The gift shop is near the park’s entrance. It’s on the right before you reach the locker and changing room area. If you take the time to look around, you’ll notice a couple of displays featuring odds and ends salvaged from Mary Oceaneer’s shipwreck.
A few items are displayed toward the front of the shop to entice those who might have forgotten something. They usually have various sand toys, shovels, and pails for children. Typhoon Lagoon has a decent amount of sandy areas where children can play.
I always like to browse the selection of beach towels. However, if you’re a resort guest, towels are available for the day at no extra charge. Towel rentals are also available for guests visiting from off-site. They are the standard white towels like the ones used at the resort pools at Disney World.

You’ll find Sal’s Shades by Sunglass Hut on the far right-hand side of Singapore Sal’s. I always like to stop here and see what kind of deal they have going. (Cheaper options are also available if you forget something.)
While we’re on the subject of being forgetful, pretty much everything you need for the water park is available at Singapore Sal’s. However, if you forget something significant, it can be a pretty expensive trip to the gift shop. For instance, water shoes are more expensive here than in a regular store. So, if you’re planning a day at a water park, you need these shoes. Trust me. You don’t want to walk around barefoot all day, and you don’t want to constantly take a regular pair of shoes off and on again. The shop also offers a variety of sandals.
Sunscreen is another item that you might lay out and then completely forget to put in the bag.
The gift shop also has sections with men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel, toys, and swimsuits. I guess you could forget your swimsuit. It probably happens every day. You will also find a stand with Typhoon Lagoon-branded merchandise. However, I often check for new t-shirts, and the water park-branded merchandise has been severely lacking for the past few years.
This is an excellent place to shop if you’re looking for a new swimsuit. You probably won’t find anything on sale, but they have a unique variety of suits and cover-ups. Here are a few examples.
Lastly, near the gift shop’s entrance, you’ll find a machine with pressed pennies. The stamps represent Typhoon Lagoon, which is a nice touch for collectors.
