The Seas with Nemo and Friends is a slow-moving attraction inside The Seas Pavilion at Epcot. It’s a charming ride suitable for children and makes a great anytime ride during peak crowd times. From the park entrance, you can take the walkway to the far right of Spaceship Earth. The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion will be on the right, past the entrance to Coral Reef Restaurant. It sits directly across the walkway from Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana.

The Seas with Nemo and Friends Review
You’ll notice a standby line and a Lightning Lane at the attraction’s entrance. While this attraction is part of Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you probably won’t need it in most cases. Waits are typically less than 20 minutes in the afternoons. However, as it gets later in the day, it’s not uncommon to see a five-minute wait posted at this attraction.
Most guests enter the pavilion by riding The Seas with Nemo and Friends. At the ride’s exit, you’re dropped off inside the aquarium.
Since there’s so much to do inside the aquarium, we usually like to tour this pavilion during the hotter portion of the day. Some of the other items you might experience after the ride include:
- Turtle Talk with Crush
- Manatees Up-Close
- Sharks, Sting Rays, and Sea Turtles
- Dolphins
- Bruce’s Sub House (Play Area for Kids)
- Scavenger Hunt
Ride History
This attraction was previously part of the Living Seas, where you rode an elevator (hydrolator) down to the ocean floor. There, you would explore Sea Base Alpha via seacabs. During this attraction’s transformation, the seacabs became clamobiles. They are similar to the ride vehicles in Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid in Magic Kingdom.
Today, the attraction is Finding Nemo-themed. You’ll venture under the ocean to help Marlin in his latest search for Nemo. Word of warning: The Seas with Nemo and Friends has an exceptionally long queue. So you’ll feel as though you’re making your way to the ocean floor as you walk to the boarding area.
A clamshell awaits to whisk you away. This is an Omnimover where you step on a moving walkway to board and exit the ride.
Soon, you’ll see Marlin and Dory (Finding Dory). They are looking for his son Nemo, the clownfish. The search for Nemo continues as you pass through various scenes, including the one below with Bruce, the shark.
Not long after, you’ll float through a bloom of jellyfish.
Other scenes include Dory, Nemo, Bruce, Crush, and Squirt.
Soon, the saltwater aquarium comes into view. The aquarium views aren’t great from the ride. However, they will significantly improve after you exit.
By this time, you’ll likely be singing along to the tune of Big Blue World. Meanwhile, another slow-moving walkway awaits as you reach the ride’s end. You’ll carefully step out of your clamshell and into the Seas Pavilion.
Overall, The Seas with Nemo and Friend is a fun attraction. At the very least, it’s an excellent place to rest and cool off. The entire pavilion is the perfect place to land if you find yourself in the middle of a thunderstorm. With so much to do inside, you’ll be entertained for some time. The Seas with Nemo and Friends holds 5.7 million gallons of water, making it one of the largest saltwater aquariums in the world.
The Resorts Gal Spin on The Seas with Nemo and Friends
We give The Seas with Nemo the green light and use this attraction to enter the Seas Pavilion. Unfortunately, the scenes in the attraction are beginning to show their age and could use some updates. But it’s a fun, slow-paced ride for anyone who needs to take a break. We also love to tour this area of the park in the late afternoon when most everyone else has moved on to the World Showcase. This is our favorite place to be in the event of a thunderstorm. You could spend hours touring the aquariums and exhibits at the end of the ride. Take your time and make it a point to see everything! You’ll likely be surprised.

We give an attraction the green light if we consider it a must-do, regardless of the posted wait. We also give the green light for attractions we deem suitable to experience anytime. For example, some attractions have high capacities. Therefore, the lines continuously move and you shouldn’t have a long wait unless the attraction experiences downtime.
