New Baby Giraffe (Tucker) Makes His Debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

If you’re visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom in the coming months, you’ll have an opportunity to see a new baby giraffe. Mara, a Masai giraffe, recently gave birth to sweet little Tucker. He is the first giraffe calf born at Walt Disney World since 2021! Mara joined the savanna back in 2015, and this is the third time she’s given birth since then. Her first calf, Jabari, was born in 2019.
Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom will have a chance to see Tucker while riding Kilimanjaro Safaris. You’ll want to keep your eyes out for mom and baby during your experience. They will likely be roaming the savanna. Of course, your safari driver will do their best to point out any “baby” sightings when possible. But it’s always a special moment when you first catch a glimpse of a little one!
Here are a few photos of Tucker’s first moments on the savanna!

We hope you’ll get to see baby Tucker if you have an upcoming visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom planned! Make sure you also take the time to see Bakso, the baby Sumatran Tiger who debuted on Maharajah Jungle Trek earlier this year.

Whether you’re new to the world of Disney or a seasoned pro in search of a new adventure, their goal is to help you plan a tailor-made experience like no other. Check with our travel partner, Firefly Travels, to begin planning.
