Muppet*Vision 3D at Hollywood Studios
Muppet*Vision 3D has a duration of approximately 17 minutes. Therefore, the longest wait for this attraction should be for the next show to begin. The film features classic Muppet characters like Kermit, Miss Piggy, and Fozzie Bear. You’ll see Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker working backstage in their lab. Unfortunately, that’s where things get a little exciting, and the show becomes a bit of a disaster. But at least it’s a disaster in a comedic way.
Once you enter the theater, you’ll wait inside a preshow area. This isn’t the worst place to take a break on a hot summer’s day. You’ll notice a couple of timers are counting down to the next show. So you’ll have a good idea of how long you’ll wait. Before the time is up, a preshow will play on the television screens overhead. It instructs you to walk all the way down the rows when the theater doors open and allow room for everyone to find a seat. Shortly after, the doors will open, and you’ll see guests ahead of you exiting the theater.
You’ll then find a seat and wait for the next performance to begin. During the performance, you’ll experience a few interactive elements. For example, Fozzie Bear sprays everyone in the audience with water from his gag flower. It’s all fun and games until he lets the whipped cream pie slip from his hands. Thankfully, it ends up on him rather than everyone else.
As the production continues, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker accidentally create a 3D graphic named Waldo. Waldo is an uncontrollable disaster and begins to wreak havoc on anyone and everyone in sight. Meanwhile, Miss Piggy is filming a musical scene on another set, which is accidentally ruined by Bean Bunny. Sam the Eagle scolds Bean, who then decides to run away. Everything gets quickly out of hand as Kermit and his friends go in search of Bean Bunny. Sweetums even enters the theater, searching through the audience with a flashlight for Bean. Thankfully, he’s found right before the grand finale, which is soon taken over by Waldo. As you can imagine, the entire show pretty much goes down in flames. Well, it’s actually sucked off the screen by Waldo. But Kermit, in usual fashion, saves the day. Soon after, the theater doors open, and it’s your turn to exit.
The Resorts Gal Spin on Muppet*Vision 3D
We give this attraction the red light. While I love the Muppets, this show is a bit dated. However, it’s not the worst place to take a break on a hot afternoon. But if you miss it, it’s probably not that big a deal.
Resorts Gal Traffic Signals
Green Light
We give an attraction the green light if we consider it a must-do, regardless of the posted wait. We also give the green light for attractions we deem suitable to experience anytime. For example, some attractions have high capacities. Therefore, the lines continuously move and you shouldn’t have a long wait unless the attraction experiences downtime.
Red Light
We recommend checking the posted wait times for red light attractions. Then, make a quick judgment call on whether to wait, skip it, or return later. We also red light some attractions that we feel might not be suitable based on our experience.
