Disney Shares New Look at Suspended Door Coaster Loading Area for Monsters, Inc. Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

It’s getting real. Disney has shared a new look at the loading area and initial vertical lift for the suspended door coaster that will be the signature attraction for Monstropolis at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Here is the original concept that was shared when Disney announced the new land and ride last year at the D23 Ultimate Fan Event.

Today, during the Future of World-Building at Disney SXSW panel, Pixar Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter and Imagineer Michael Hundgen revealed a look at the load area for the attraction. Per Disney, the upcoming door ride will feature the first-ever suspended coaster at a Disney Park, and the first-ever vertical lift.

Disney also shared an animatic video of the loading area and vertical lift for the roller coaster on their social media channels. You can preview it below.
