EPCOT Attractions, Rides, and Entertainment (A Complete Guide)

Epcot is a significant park with numerous attractions, rides, and entertainment offerings. With so much to do, it would be difficult to experience everything the park has to offer. So, you’ll want to do your research ahead of time to form a plan that works best for your touring party. You do not want to be that person who hops on Mission: Space Orange first thing in the morning, thinking you can handle anything, only to find out later that you can’t. A bout of dizziness, or worse, full-on vertigo, could negatively impact the rest of your day.

To help you plan, we’ve listed Epcot’s attractions and rides with brief descriptions below. After that, we’ve shared an overview of each entertainment offering in the park and our festival guides for seasonal offerings. EPCOT Attractions

We’ll start by previewing the attractions in each park area: World Celebration, World Discovery, World Nature, and the World Showcase.

World Celebration Attractions

The following attractions are in the World Celebration area of the park.

Spaceship Earth

Spaceship Earth is a slow-moving attraction that takes guests on a journey through time, exploring the history of human communication. It dates back to the Stone Age and continues through the computer age. The attraction’s exterior (a unique geodesic sphere) is also the park’s icon.

Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival

The Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival combines three shorts (cartoons) from Disney and Pixar. The films are 3D animated shorts with loud noises and musical soundtracks. A warning on the attraction’s signage notes that it might frighten children. (The theater is dark and mildly shakes during some of the experience.)

Journey Into Imagination with Figment

Journey Into Imagination with Figment is a slow-moving attraction that’s fun for children. It takes guests on a ride through the Imagination Institute, where you learn about the senses. A small purple dragon named Figment soon takes over, and the ride gets more interesting. This charming (and exceptionally dated) attraction is perfect for the nostalgic, and children really do tend to enjoy it.

Meet Mickey and Friends

Meet Mickey and Friends is a character meet-and-greet at Epcot. It’s considered an attraction because it’s the home of the Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Goofy meet-and-greet. You get to stand in one line and meet all three characters! This attraction can have long lines, but if you have little ones or love characters like we do, it’s definitely worth the wait!

World Discovery Attractions

Next, we’ll move on to the attractions in World Discovery.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is undoubtedly the park’s most popular attraction. However, you must secure a virtual queue or purchase Lightning Lane access to experience it. This attraction does not offer a standby queue. Cosmic Rewind is a fun and exhilarating indoor roller coaster. While the attraction doesn’t have any inversions, the cars tend to swing on the track. Some riders do experience motion sickness.

Mission: SPACE

Mission: SPACE is a motion simulator ride that is not for everyone. Those prone to motion sickness will not want to go near it. As a bit of a reference, we love Cosmic Rewind, but I rode Mission: SPACE Orange once (many years ago) and promised myself if I made it off, I would never ride it again. An alternative green mission is also available, offering a less intense experience.

*This attraction has an area called Advanced Training Lab at its exit. It’s a fun, interactive area that children often enjoy. Speaking from experience, my child (when old enough) would ride this attraction while I waited outside for him. It would always take much longer than the posted wait time. I finally realized he was stopping to enjoy the Advanced Training Lab after he finished the ride. So, FYI!

Test Track

Test Track is a popular attraction currently being reimagined into Test Track 3.0 (its third reiteration). It is expected to open in the late summer of 2025.

World Nature Attractions

Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana

Journey of Water is an interactive walking trail inspired by Moana. It teaches guests about how water cycles the earth and its importance. You might get wet. But it’s more of a choice if you pay attention to the signs in each area.

Awesome Planet

Soarin’ Around the World

Soarin’ Around the World is a popular attraction that most guests enjoy. It offers a simulated experience similar to hang gliding, except you’re seated upright. Those with extreme fears of heights will probably want to sit this ride out.

Living with the Land

Living with the Land is a slow-moving boat ride through Epcot’s greenhouses. It is a peaceful attraction beloved by many.

The Seas with Nemo and Friends

The Seas with Nemo and Friends is a slow-moving ride that tells the story of Nemo from Finding Nemo. This attraction is perfect for little ones or anyone wanting to break from the often relentless heat. The ride exits into the Seas Pavilion beside the park’s giant aquarium. It’s an excellent place to explore during a thunderstorm or rain shower.

Turtle Talk with Crush

Turtle Talk with Crush is an often overlooked attraction. If you have little ones (up to about the age of 12), don’t miss it! The longest you should have to wait is for the next showtime. Once you’re invited into the area, you’ll find a seat. Children are asked to sit on the floor in front of the screen. Parents can sit nearby on one of the benches. Crush then comes on screen and interacts with the children. You might want to think up a good question to ask him beforehand!

World Showcase

The World Showcase is often considered the back half of Epcot. It consists of 11 countries offering attractions, dining, shopping, and entertainment. We’ll continue with what attractions are available. But you’ll want to note that some countries do not have a formal attraction.

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros

This slow-moving boat ride is located inside the pyramid in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion. It features the Three Caballeros as they explore famous cities.

Meet Anna and Elsa at the Royal Sommerhus

This character meet-and-greet is the formal home of Anna and Elsa at Walt Disney World. It’s the only traditional place to meet the sisters from Frozen outside of extra seasonal opportunities.

Mexico Folk Art Gallery

The Mexico Folk Art Gallery sits toward the front entrance of the Mexico Pavilion at Epcot. It’s a museum-like display offering a unique look at Día de Muertos through the eyes of Mexican and Mexican-American artists.

Frozen Ever After

Frozen Ever After is one of Epcot’s most popular rides. Located in the Norway Pavilion, the attraction will have long lines throughout the day.

Stave Church Gallery

The replica of the Stave Church Gallery can be admired from its exterior in the Norway Pavilion. Inside, you’ll find an exhibit representing Norweigan history. The current exhibit is called ‘Gods of the Vikings.’

Reflections of China

Reflections of China is a 14-minute Circle-Vision 360-degree film narrated by Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai. It takes viewers on a journey through ancient to modern China. While charming, the attraction is exceptionally dated.

The American Adventure

The American Adventure is a 30-minute production featuring over 35 audio-animatronics and digital rear-projection images on a 72-foot screen. It’s a must-see if you have the time and for fans of American history. We always enjoy it.

American Heritage Gallery

This walk-through gallery offers a glimpse of Native American history and is located inside the Colonial Mansion near the entrance of the American Adventure.

Portraits of Courage (Limited-Time)

This limited-time art gallery by President George W. Bush lines the walls of the Colonial Mansion’s central gathering space. It’s well worth seeing during its limited run. The exhibit was installed on June 9, 2024, and is scheduled to remain for 12 months.

Gallery of Arts and History

This walk-through art gallery currently hosts an exhibit called “Race Against the Sun: Ancient Technique to Modern Competition.” It offers a look at life in the Sahara and explores the fascinating story of Morocco’s Indigenous people while showcasing two modern-day extreme racing events

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

This fun, family-friendly 3D attraction takes you on a ride through Chef Gusteau’s kitchen, where you’ll shrink to Remy’s size, and everything becomes larger than life. This attraction is based on the Disney Pixar movie Ratatouille.

Canada Far and Wide

Canada Far and Wide is a Circle-Vision 360 film attraction in the Canada Pavilion at Epcot. The 12-minute film showcases popular Canadian landmarks.

EPCOT Entertainment

Celebracion Encanto: This Encanto-themed sing-along features live performers and songs from the movie. Mirabel and Bruno make appearances during the finale. Guests are invited to participate. (Located on the CommuniCore Hall Plaza Stage in World Celebration.)

Atlas Fusion: This Moroccan band plays in the Morocco Pavilion at Epcot. Most performances include belly dancers wearing elaborate costumes.

Forces of Nature by AntiGravity: See acrobats perform incredible displays of strength, grace, and agility. This performance is typically available Saturdays through Wednesdays in World Celebration.

Jammitors: This percussionist band plays on trash cans. They perform at select times throughout the park each day.

Mariache Cobre and Marimba de las Americas: This mariache band is longest performing musical act at Epcot. They play daily in the Mexico Pavilion at Epcot.

Matsuriza: A group of drummers who play the thundering sounds of Taiko in the Japan Pavilion at Epcot.

Sergio: An Italian mime who performs an outstanding juggling act in Epcot’s Italy Pavilion.

Voices of Liberty: Listen to the pristine sounds of this A capella group that performs daily in Epcot’s American Adventure Pavilion.

Luminous: The Symphony of US (Evening Entertainment)

We highly recommend seeing Luminous: The Symphony of Us at the end of your Epcot day. Epcot’s fireworks are always offered at the park’s closing time. So if the park closes at 9:00 p.m., the fireworks start at 9:00 p.m. On most evenings, you’ll want to secure a spot for Epcot’s fireworks 30 minutes to an hour in advance. The more crowded the park is, the earlier you’ll want to find a spot. Our guide below details some of our favorite viewing locations.
