Disney’s All-Star Movies Overview
When you stay at All-Star Movies, you can expect larger-than-life movie elements spread out over the resort’s grounds. Each section of the resort is modeled after a different movie. For example, characters from Disney’s 101 Dalmatians comprise the entire resort section.
Movies offers bus transportation to and from the theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. One sole bus stop is located at the front of the resort. This is the only form of complimentary transportation available. The resort offers standard hotel rooms across the board. The only room upgrade is a preferred room, which costs more because of its prominent location near the feature pool, lobby, dining, and bus stop.
All-Star Movies offers two resort pools, a kiddie pool, a splash area, and a playground. A jogging trail extends the length of all three resorts. It starts at the front of the resort. Nightly Movies Under the Stars are available at the Reel Spot near the main pool. The resort recreation calendar is posted in several places around the lobby. It lists the movie schedule for the week of your visit.
Below, we’ll discuss rooms, amenities, dining, shopping, and transportation at Disney’s All-Star Movies. We’ve linked to other resources and articles that provide more specifics where applicable. For an overall experience, our All-Star Movies Review details what it’s like to stay at the resort.
Resort Benefits
Guests of Disney’s All-Star Movies can participate in Disney’s early theme park entry, a perk extended to all Walt Disney World Resort guests.
Early Theme Park Entry: This perk allows resort guests to enter any Walt Disney World theme park 30 minutes before officially opening to the general public. This early entry provides several advantages:
- Lower Crowds: Being among the first to enter the park allows you to experience popular attractions with shorter wait times. This will help you to check off must-see rides and experiences ahead of the crowd.
- Photography Opportunities: If you love capturing the magic of Disney, the early hours provide a fantastic opportunity for photos in front of iconic landmarks with fewer people in the background.
- Cooler Temperatures: Morning hours are often cooler, making outdoor activities more comfortable. But if you visit during cooler weather, don’t forget a jacket!
Standard Rooms
If you compare our guides for All-Star Movies to Music and Sports, you won’t find too many differences. All three resorts have been refurbished in recent years. Each resort has the same room type. We know because we’ve stayed at each resort. They are alike down to the curtains. I have yet to find a difference. These rooms were modeled after the popular room refurbishment at Disney’s Pop Century, some time ago.
All-Star Movies has two room types: standard and preferred. Preferred rooms are in select buildings of the Toy Story, Fantasia, and 101 Dalmatians sections. They are considered preferred because they are close to the resort’s lobby, pool, food court, and transportation. If you want to be closer to these amenities, a room upgrade might be worth considering.
Standard guest rooms feature one queen-size bed and one queen-size pull-down bed. They also have a mini-fridge, iron, ironing board, and in-room safe. Bathrooms feature a vanity with one sink and a tub with shower combination. Accessible rooms are available. Some rooms offer a king bed.

Sections of Disney’s All-Star Movies:
All-Star Movies is divided into five sections with courtyards. We’ll start at the back of the resort and move our way to the front.
- Toy Story: This section of the resort is perfect for fans of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story. You’ll feel like you’ve shrunk to size in Andy’s room! A giant Buzz Lightyear and Woody keep watch over things. It’s an adorable area.
- Fantasia: This section of the resort is front and center. It sits directly behind the main lobby and pool area. Expect giant broomsticks and Sorcerer Mickey references on one side. The opposite features scenes from The Nutcracker. I do find giant jack-in-the-box a little creepy, though!
- The Love Bug: This area is based on Herbie (The Love Bug) movie series. It’s too cute! You’ll find adorable imprints of mechanics tools in the concrete and even run into Herbie himself in the winner’s circle.
- 101 Dalmatians: If you grew up watching this beloved movie, you’ll adore waking up to Pongo, Perdita, and the pups each morning. This section is too cute, and the location is convenient to both the resort’s pools.
- Mighty Ducks: Who doesn’t love a good hockey-themed movies? This section of the resort is home to the secondary pool. It features hockey pucks, masks, and giant nets!
All-Star Movies Dining
All-Star Movies has two dining options: World Premiere Food Court and Silver Screen Spirits. World Premiere is the primary dining option. It’s a quick-service restaurant set up like a food court with multiple stations offering various cuisines.
The food court is open daily between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can expect items like sandwiches, pizza, burgers, pasta, and chicken nuggets for lunch and dinner. This location accepts mobile orders. You can also order an entire pizza from this location.
Silver Screen Spirits Pool Bar serves snacks and a variety of beverages. It is located between the food court and the feature pool.
Rapid Fill Mugs are available at the food court. We have a separate guide to refillable mugs for Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort. It details the location of refill stations along with the current price and drink options.

Recreation at Disney’s All-Star Movies
All-Star Movies has two resort pools: the Fantasia Pool and the Duck Pond Pool. The Fantasia Pool is the resort’s feature pool area, located behind Cinema Hall, the resort’s lobby.
The Fantasia Pool features a giant theater backdrop with red carpet. Mickey sits in the center of the stage creating a feature that sprays water into the pool. A separately fenced water play area and kiddie pool sit nearby.
The Duck Pond Pool sits in the center of the Mighty Ducks area. This pool resembles a hockey rink with Goofy as the goalie! Both pools at Disney’s All-Star Movies offer complimentary lifejackets and towels. The pools also have lifeguards on duty. Laundry facilities are available at both pools. We have a post with details and photos of the laundry rooms at All-Star Movies.
Regarding recreation, the Reel Fun Arcade is inside Cinema Hall. All-Star Movies also has a playground between the Toy Story and Fantasia buildings.
