Stitch Settles at Tomorrowland Meet-and-Greet at Magic Kingdom
We haven’t stopped to meet Stitch at Magic Kingdom in quite some time. So, on a recent visit for a few character updates, we joined his line, and boy, was it long. Stitch has had meet-and-greets at a variety of locations at Magic Kingdom over the last 10 years. But he seems to have settled in Buzz Lightyear’s old meet-and-greet location in Tomorrowland, for now anyway.
I got in line at 3:25 p.m. for the 3:30 p.m. meet-and-greet. Over 40 guests were already waiting, mostly in direct sunlight. Here’s a photo of a portion of the line. For reference, this location is between the Carousel of Progress and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. There are two garage-style doors on the back wall under the Peoplemover. Stitch meets on the right side, and Buzz formerly met on the left.
I ended up way back here. A cast member was trying to count how many guests were waiting before Stitch came out.
When I met Stitch, it was 3:58 p.m., so I waited a total of 33 minutes. Given the number of people ahead of us, the timing wasn’t that bad. But I also felt that guests were moving more quickly than normal because of the heat and lack of shade.
Stitch signs autographs at this location and he’s always ready to make a silly pose. A PhotoPass photographer was present on the day I visited.
This meet-and-greet is usually listed in the My Disney Experience app. We always recommend checking the app on the day of your visit for a character’s exact location and time. You can do so by opening the app and selecting the drop pin at the bottom of the screen. Then, from the top, select “characters” and filter the park on the top left side of the screen. Then select “show list” on the top right side. Locate the character, and it will provide a list of times.
When a character’s meet-and-greet is over for the day, their listing will disappear from the app. So make sure you’re aware of the times and get in line earlier rather than later for any important meet-and-greets for your group.
If you’ve been following along, we recently met Chip and Dale on the River Walk in Frontierland. We also met the talking Dug at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. You might also enjoy our entire list of character meet-and-greets at Disney World.
