A New Santa Claus Meet-and-Greet (Santa’s Christmas Carnival) to Debut at Magic Kingdom for the Holidays

Santa will have a new meet-and-greet location at Magic Kingdom this holiday season. Disney has announced that guests will have the opportunity to meet jolly old St. Nick and have a photo taken with him at Storybook Circus in Fantasyland. This location is expected to be available at select times throughout the day.
Additionally, Storybook Circus becomes Santa’s Christmas Carnival during Mickey’s Christmas Party. Disney describes the party setting as follows: During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Storybook Circus transforms into a land filled with joyful Christmas cheer, friends from the North Pole, and, of course, Santa Claus.

This meet-and-greet will be listed in the My Disney Experience app. You can use the instructions below to locate it. However, sometimes limited-time meet-and-greets appear in the “entertainment” section. So, if you don’t see it listed in the “character” category, select entertainment instead, and you should be able to find it.
How to Locate Characters in the My Disney Experience App
- Open the My Disney Experience app and select the pin drop at the bottom of the home screen.
- Scroll (left to right) through the icons at the top of the screen and select “Characters.”
- After selecting characters, use the locations drop down to select the park of your choice.
- Then, on the bottom right of the screen, select “Show List.”
- Scroll through the list of characters with their times and locations.
- As an alternative, you can use the map view to locate characters.
*As the day passes, you might notice that characters disappear from the app. When their last scheduled time passes, the meet-and-greet automatically disappears. A new schedule won’t be loaded until the following day. It is essential to check the app for meet-and-greets on the day of your visit.
