Before and After: Three Updated Murals Line the Walls of Disney’s All-Star Resorts
If you have visited Disney’s All-Star Resorts in the past couple of months, you might have been surprised to find three new murals lining the walls of each resort’s main lobby hall. Disney has shared a completed look of the new character-inspired murals at Disney’s All-Star Sports, Music, and Movies. So I thought we’d take a look back at the older designs which featured poster-style images of famous athletes, musicians, and movies and compare them to the new looks! It’s always fun to have a before and after look.
We’ll start with Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort. Here is a photo of the before version of Stadium Hall, the main hall that connects the lobby, shopping, dining, bus stop, and arcade. Before, the wall was painted a solid green and featured images of famous athletes.

Next, we’ll visit Disney’s All-Star Music Resort to check out Melody Hall, which has the same layout. The before look was a solid green wall featuring images of famous musicians.
Now, here’s the new character-inspired mural. Is that maestro Mickey?
Last, but not least we’ll check out Cinema Hall at Disney’s All-Star Movies. Here’s a before look that features classic movies like The Wizard of Oz, The Color Purple, The Ten Commandments, and…Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean.
But the new look is cute featuring classic characters on the red carpet while photographers seek to get an award-winning shot.
I’ll admit the poster-style images were dated. But I found myself looking at each one a little longer as I tried to identify them. Nostalgia. That said, the new looks are fun and per the Disney Parks Blog, you’ll find plenty of fun gag moments if you take the time to look a little closer. I don’t know about you, but I’ll be checking these out on our next visit!
