Miguel to Make Appearances with Mariachi Cobre at Epcot During Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month
Last month, Disney teased that guests should keep their eyes peeled for a familiar amigo who might pop in to enjoy a performance of Mariachi Cobre during Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month. The Walt Disney World website has now been updated with information that Miguel from Coco will be that familiar amigo! Here are the specifics:
From September 15 through October 15, 2024—during Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month— world-famous traditional folk musicians Mariachi Cobre celebrate Together We Are Magia! including a special appearance by Miguel from the Disney and Pixar film Coco.
While we were hopeful for the return of The Story of Coco, a limited-time offering that dates back to 2019, we are happy to see that Miguel will make an appearance at Epcot. The only other place to see him in the parks is during the Adventure Friends Cavalcade at Magic Kingdom. Here are a few photos of the puppetry offering for history’s sake. The performance included dancers and an incredible Miguel puppet interacting with the crowd.
If you’re visiting Epcot during this time, take in a Mariachi Cobre performance. You might just get a chance to see Miguel. Of course, Mariachi Cobre is always worth seeing year-round. You can find their daily showtimes listed in the entertainment section of the My Disney Experience app.
