Character Spotlight: Max Goof at Walt Disney World
Max Goof is a regular character who appears daily at Walt Disney World. He has a traditional character meet-and-greet at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and makes several other appearances in the parks throughout the year. Max is also popularly known for making appearances as Powerline. Below, we’ll discuss where you might find him at Disney World and preview photos of his cosplay look.

Max’s full name is Maximilian Goof. His first character appearance was as Goofy Jr. in the animated short Father’s Are People (1951). He also co-stars with his dad, Goofy, in the following animated films:

Max has appeared in numerous other cartoon shorts and several animated films.
Does Max have a regular character meet-and-greet at Walt Disney World?
- Yes, Max meets guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. He usually meets alongside Goofy in an area called Grand Ave near the entrance of Galaxy’s Edge. While the father-son pair are usually in the same location, they often have separate lines.

- Max met as Powerline for a limited time at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in early 2023.
- Max was a popular social-distancing character at Magic Kingdom. He often waved to guests from the balcony of Main Street Station. He also rode in A Goofy Cavalcade. (2020-2021)
- He met with Goofy at Disney’s Hollywood Studios when social distancing protocols were in place. They could often be seen from the patio near the exit of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or around Echo Lake.
- He drove a gingerbread car in Goofy’s Scrumptious Cavalcade during the holidays. (2020-2021)
