Through the Years: Kermit and Miss Piggy Character Topiaries at Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival

Our look at character topiaries through the years wouldn’t be the same without a photo gallery dedicated to the Muppets. Miss Piggy and Kermit have been part of Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival for quite some time. Our photo collection dates back to 2019 when Miss Piggy had a spectacular garden in the France Pavilion dedicated to fashion. Kermit was also present this year, but like always Miss Piggy was the star of the show.

It was a fun look that sat in the small hedge maze toward the front of the pavilion. This is where we find Lumiere and Cogsworth’s topiaries from Beauty and the Beast these days.

Miss Piggy and Kermit moved for the next festival in 2021, which was called A Taste of the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. The pair were in separate flower beds where we usually find Captain Hook, Peter Pan, and Tick-Tock the Crocodile’s topiaries as of late. You can tell from the photos that Miss Piggy’s had a little work done since her last topiary appearance. Her gloves and shoes are now purple and her mouth is more defined.

Here’s Kermit who hasn’t changed a bit over the years.

Miss Piggy and Kermit found a more permanent home in recent years. They are usually positioned near the Brazil Marketplace along a walkway between the Morocco and France Pavilions.

They returned to this location in 2024. As you can tell from the photos Miss Piggy has changed significantly. She now has a more defined look. You might notice she even has a feather “plant” boa wrapped around her arms.

We’ll soon see if the pair return for 2025. As of publish time, Disney has only shared a small selection of the topiaries that will be available this year. You can preview our 2025 topiary guide in this article. We also recently took a look back at The Lion King topiaries here, the Tinker Bell Fairy House Gardens here, and the Figment topiary here.
