Character Spotlight: Goofy at Walt Disney World
Goofy is a regular character at Walt Disney World and is considered one of the Fab Five. This classic group of characters includes Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Minnie Mouse, and Pluto. He has meet-and-greets in all four parks and makes numerous appearances. You will likely see him at least once during your visit, even with little effort.
We’ve run into Goofy on numerous occasions in different outfits. Below, I’ve compiled a list of places (including character dining) where you can usually find him. Then, we’ll discuss his timeline and share images of several unique outfits dating back to 2019.

Goofy made his cartoon debut in Mickey’s Revue in 1932. He’s appeared in countless other shorts, including many “how to” cartoon series, since. The D23 fan site has an extensive list of Goofy shorts. He also co-stars with his son Max Goof in the following animated films:

- Pete’s Silly Sideshow at Storybook Circus (Magic Kingdom)
- Meet Mickey and Friends at Epcot
- Meet Goofy at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Meet Bird-Watching Goofy at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Character Dining with Goofy:
- Minnie’s Seasonal Dine at Hollywood and Vine (Disney’s Hollywood Studios)
- Tusker House Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Minnie’s Beach Bash at Cape May Cafe (Disney’s Beach Club)
Other Places You Might See Goofy at Disney World:
- Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom
- Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire (Castle Stage Show at Magic Kingdom)
- Goofy sometimes makes appearances at the Disney Visa character meet-and-greet at Epcot. However, you must have a Disney Visa card to enter this meet-and-greet.

- Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party (Pirate Costume Meet-and-Greet in Storybook Circus)
- Boo To You Parade at Mickey’s Halloween Party (Farmer Outfit)
- Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party: He appears as Santa Goofy at the Club Tinsel Dance Party in Tomorrowland. (2024)
- Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade (He drives the candy float Vanellope von Schweetz drives in the Halloween Parade.)
- He meets dressed as Santa Goofy at Epcot between Christmas Day and New Year’s.
- During the Christmas party, Goofy appears in Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, the castle stage show.
- Mickey meets at Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Former Meet-and-Greet Locations:
- He met at the Epcot Character Spot in the former Future World for many years. (It permanently closed in 2019.)
- Goofy was part of A Goofy Cavalcade at Magic Kingdom during social distancing. He was also part of the Mickey and Friends World Tour at Epcot. (2020-2021)
- He rode on the float in Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary. (2021-2023)
- During social distancing, Goofy rode on a character cruise at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. (2020-2023)
- Goofy met at Epcot’s entrance near Spaceship Earth while Epcot was under construction. (2022-2023)
- Goofy met in his carnival outfit at Dinoland, USA, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom for a limited time in 2023.
- Goofy appeared in the resort character caravan during Disney’s 100th anniversary.
