Goofy and Friends Prepare for The Big Game at Walt Disney World Ahead of Super Bowl Sunday
Walt Disney World has shared an adorable video featuring Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck playing a friendly game of football in front of Cinderella Castle. In a game-winning play, Goofy catches the ball and is instantly recognized as the most valuable player.
He’s then asked…What are you going to do next? As he looks around and realizes he’s already at Walt Disney World, he responds…”Hmm. I don’t know.”
The video ends with a message: Whoever wins, we’ll see ya real soon! followed by a shot of Cinderella Castle with the Walt Disney World logo. You can preview the video below.
Walt Disney World announced earlier this week via their Instagram story that they looked forward to hosting the winner of Super Bowl LIX on Monday, February 10, 2025. This year’s Super Bowl features the Kansas City Chiefs versus the Philadelphia Eagles at the Caesars Super Dome in New Orleans, Louisiana. Kick-off begins at 6:30 p.m. E.T. on February 9, 2025.
Typically, at the end of the game, the designated MVP is asked what they are going to do next now that they’ve won the Super Bowl? The response is along the lines of “I’m going to Walt Disney World or Disneyland.” The following day the designated park will host the MVP and his family who will be part of a special Disney Super Bowl Parade.
While this is tradition, Disney tends to keep the exact details under wraps until after the game. If you’re visiting Magic Kingdom Park this next Monday, you’ll want to keep an eye out for announcements regarding the time of the parade. It will likely be offered ahead of the Festival of Fantasy Parade and follow the same footsteps from Frontierland through Liberty Square all the way down Main Street, U.S.A.
This is a pretty rare occasion to experience something that doesn’t happen every day at Walt Disney World. So if you have any interest at all, we think it’s worth taking the time to see!
