Daisy Duck Returns to Epcot’s International Gateway Meet-and-Greet Location
It seems like only yesterday we were archiving Daisy Duck’s meet-and-greet at Epcot’s International Gateway. However, with the opening of the new Mickey and Friends character spot, she has returned to the International Gateway. We are happy to see her back at this location. It’s an excellent and shaded outdoor meet-and-greet opportunity. She’s also fairly easy to see here, especially if you enter through this separate backdoor entrance. Below, we’ll preview a few photos of this location and what to expect.
If you enter the park at the International Gateway, you’ll see Daisy on the righthand side of the walkway if she’s out. This area is along the water about 50 feet past the ticket turnstiles. A separate walkway leads to this area if you’re coming from the World Showcase. It’s on the right past the United Kingdom Pavilion before you cross the bridge toward the France Pavilion. The photo below was taken from the bridge, looking down to the area where Daisy meets guests. If you zoom in, you’ll see her with a line of guests past the last bench.
Here’s a closer look at the guests waiting to meet her.
For reference, I took a photo of the bridge while standing in line. If Daisy is out, you should be able to see her from the bridge. She meets intermittently throughout most of the day. Her exact times and locations will be listed in the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit.
Here’s how to locate those specifics in the app. Then, we’ll preview a few photos.
How to Locate Characters in the My Disney Experience App
- Open the MDE app and select the pin drop at the bottom of the home screen.
- Select the “Characters” category at the top middle of the screen. (The default is “Wait Times”.)
- After selecting characters, use the park filter to select the park on the top left side of the screen.
- Then, on the top right side of the screen, select “Show List.”
- Scroll through the list of characters with their times and locations.
*As the day passes, you might notice that characters disappear from the app. When their last scheduled time passes, the meet-and-greet automatically disappears. A new schedule won’t be loaded until the following day. It is essential to check the app for meet-and-greets on the day of your visit.
Daisy Duck is full of sass and charm. At Epcot, she wears her traditional pink dress with purple trim and a bow. She’s also been known to sport a chef’s outfit during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival.
Additionally, she is an autograph-signing character. So make sure to have your autograph book out and ready for her to sign when it’s your turn. A PhotoPass photographer was not available on the day of this visit.
We’ve had a lot of character coverage lately due to changes, and I still have a few more things to cover. I cannot stress enough the importance of using the steps above to locate times and exact locations on the day of your visit. However, if you cannot find someone, it doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t meeting. We usually like to ask a cast member in a light blue shirt at another character’s meet-and-greet if we’re having trouble finding someone. Those cast members work with characters and are probably best suited for answering questions related to them.
For retired character locations, try our character archives. You might be surprised that Mary Poppins no longer has a traditional meet-and-greet at Epcot or that Merida no longer meets in the Enchanted Glade Gazebo at Magic Kingdom.
Here are a few of the new character meet-and-greet locations we’ve recently covered:
- Meet the Talking Dug at Animal Kingdom
- Meet Pluto at Epcot’s Entrance
- Meet Timon and Rafiki at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- A Surprise Meet-and-Greet With the Mad Hatter
- Places to Look for Surprise Characters at Hollywood Studios
- Where You Might See Character Training at Epcot
You can also browse our Disney World Characters List, which contains traditional meet-and-greet locations in the four theme parks.
