Celebration Central: Mickey and Minnie Mouse’s Surprise 90th Birthday Meet-and-Greet

This meet-and-greet was available for almost a year between 2018 and September 2019. It is now part of our character archives and has been left for historical reference. The information below details the extraordinary opportunity to meet the couple during their birthday party.

Mickey and Minnie Mouse have a limited-time special surprise meet-and-greet to celebrate their 90th birthday! This meet-and-greet is called Celebration Central at Town Square Theater. Guests are invited to visit Magic Kingdom’s Town Square Theater, sign the guest book, and meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The couple wears special, custom-made birthday outfits to celebrate the occasion.

Outside Town Square Theater, the Meet Mickey the Magician banners have been replaced with ones that read, “Meet Mickey and Minnie.” Mickey usually meets at this location alone.

Another banner over the main entrance indicates the Celebration Central headquarters.

A table with a few special items is set up inside the foyer. Guests are invited to sign the guest book indicating they visited during the birthday celebration.

You can also pick up a special birthday autograph card and complimentary stickers. If you want to purchase something commemorating their birthday, several items are available for sale, including the stuffed Mickey doll with a birthday hat.

Here is one of the guest books. A cast member told me they had already filled several with signatures.

Some of the signs in the queue have been replaced with ones geared more toward the birthday party theme.

When we arrived, a 50-minute wait was posted. Given this meet-and-greet’s uniqueness and limited-time nature, don’t be surprised if you find a long wait. But it’s worth it to meet the pair together in special outfits. Here are a few more photos of the couple in their birthday outfits.

Overall, we love any opportunity to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse, especially in out-of-the-ordinary outfits! Since this meet-and-greet, they’ve had a few other special occasions to celebrate.
