Through the Years: Anna and Elsa Character Topiaries at Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival

Our next stop on the topiary tour is Epcot’s Norway Pavilion. This pavilion is home to multiple character topiaries each year. One is Anna and Elsa, the famous sisters from Disney’s animated Frozen film series. The other is a troll that we preview in this article.
Anna and Elsa originally debuted at Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival in 2015. You might remember we were in the midst of a “Frozen” frenzy back then that lasted long after the movie was released in late 2013. When they debuted, they were among the first topiary characters to have detailed faces. If you’ve been following along, you know we’ve shared a few faceless topiaries from year’s past like our through the years look at The Lion King topiary. Our photos of Anna and Elsa’s topiary date back to 2019, starting with this one.

In 2023, we saw a few changes with even more facial details and coloring. Anna’s shirt sleeves are now blue and more defined.

A few snowflakes were added this year. We’ve seen these ball topiary forms used for Mickey heads and the flower centers like the ones used at Figment’s topiary.

We didn’t see any significant changes in 2024.

Anna and Elsa return to the Norway Pavilion this year. Elsa’s received a new accessory, a blue cape that flows from her topiary form. We hope you’ll have the opportunity to see them if you visit during the festival. For more in our topiaries through the years series, you might enjoy:
