Resorts Gal Character Spotlight
Abu from ‘Aladdin’ at Disney World
Abu is a significant character in Disney’s animated film Aladdin. He is also part of the animated series, and a monkey plays his part in the live-action version of the film. The chances are slim if you hope to meet him during your Walt Disney World vacation. However, you might have the opportunity to meet him if you attend one of the seasonal parties at Magic Kingdom. He’s been a regular character at both special-ticketed events for many years. Below, we’ll preview a few photos of Abu and discuss frequently asked questions.

Unfortunately, the only characters from Aladdin that meet in the parks regularly are Jasmine and Aladdin.
Other Places We’ve Seen Abu at Disney World:
The Halloween and Christmas parties are the only places we’ve ever seen Abu at Walt Disney World. In recent years, Abu has met with Aladdin at both parties. They rotate the spot with Genie and Jasmine, so you have to time things right to meet the pair. We’ve waited several times to meet them, and they’ve left for a break each time, so it could take some effort to meet Abu.
Related Characters: Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, Genie, Jafar
