Disney’s Beach Club Resort Exterior Refurbishment Update (June 2026)
It’s been a couple of months since we provided an update on the exterior refurbishment taking place at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. As a reminder, when we last looked at the site in March, the resort’s Tidal Pool and surrounding area were closed. As of this update, the Tidal Pool and laundry area have reopened, and most of the construction fencing around the area has been removed. As a quick refresher, the following notice is posted on Disney’s website.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort is undergoing visible exterior maintenance through late 2027, which will impact views from various locations throughout the Resort hotel and, at times, require alternate paths of travel.
As you can see in the photo below, a large fence remains to the left of the laundry and restroom area that blocks the view of the quiet pool. I’m not entirely sure how long that fence will remain up. It looks like the siding and roof behind it have been completed.

It’s always important to remember that things can change from day to day. For instance, when I visited the Friday before Memorial Day, this scaffolding was up on the side of the Beach Club closest to Epcot.

One week later, the scaffolding was down.

The freshly painted siding and new roof look fantastic.

Here is a closer look at the area that leads to the resort’s quiet pool. That’s the resort’s primary laundry room that sits in front of it. All of the rooms in this area appear to be in use again. We see a lot of questions about room views when these types of refurbishments are taking place. Rest assured, when scaffolding is up around a room area, those blocks of rooms are not in use. That’s why you see some guests staying at a resort undergoing this type of refurbishment say things like, “We hardly noticed it.”
On the outside looking in, one would think, “How did you hardly notice it?” However, when you’re inside the resort, you are usually oblivious to this type of work. Of course, you could always end up in an area closest to the construction where you could hear or see work taking place.

Here is a closer look that shows where the fence is still up on the opposite side.

The fence extends to the volleyball court.

This area that’s outside the fence has not been completed.

Everything you see in the photo below needs a new roof and new siding. You can tell that the siding here is heavily faded from years of absorbing the sun.

It’s such a beautiful area, but I couldn’t help but notice the usual thick green grass has taken a beating. I’m not sure if that’s due to the hard freeze earlier this year or what.

Here’s a look at the resort-side entrance to Disney’s Beach Club. This area is to the immediate left of the volleyball court. No work in this area has been completed.

At a glance, you might not even notice anything.

But if we look a little closer, we see faded areas and what looks to be rusty areas or exposed wood on some of the trim.

Everything you see in the picture below needs new siding and a new roof.

Before we wrap things up, we’ll take a look at the area near the resort’s main entrance. No siding or roof work has been completed on this side of the resort. You may remember that the resort’s port cochere was completely redone last year. That work was extensive, and the project lasted the majority of the summer. However, it’s worth noting that the work completed in that area was strictly on the port cochere.
We have photos of the work from that time if you would like to see more. I mention this because the siding and roofing around the resort’s main entrance will be replaced at some point. So as of this update, there is still a significant amount of exterior construction to be completed. This is also likely why the current refurbishment schedule is slated to last through late 2027.

Inside the resort, the only thing we noticed during our visit was that the lobby restrooms are still closed for renovations.

Overall, the exterior refurbishment at Disney’s Beach Club is moving along nicely, but still has a way to go. You may remember that resort’s interior refurbishment started a few years back. We have a photo post of the standard rooms at Disney’s Beach Club from after their last refurbishment. We also did a before-and-after post of the Beach Club’s lobby and other updates around the resort. It’s also worth noting that Stormalong Bay, the resort’s feature pool area, underwent a significant refurbishment and reopened last summer.
We’ll take a look at the status of exterior refurbishment at the Yacht Club as of early June at the Yacht Club in a separate article. Check back with Resorts Gal for more around the resorts!
