Disney Skyliner to Close in Early 2026 for Routine Maintenance

Disney has announced that the Skyliner will close in early 2026 for routine maintenance. If you’re staying at a resort offering direct access to the Skyliner, this closure will affect your travel to and from the resort.
Per Disney, the Skyliner will close for refurbishment from January 25, 2026, to January 31, 2026. During this time, the following resorts will offer complimentary bus service to both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios:
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Riviera Resort
*When the Skyliner is operational, these resorts do not offer bus service to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Other than 2025, the Skyliner has routinely closed for refurbishment in January. So make sure you’re aware that it will not be available if you’re visiting during these dates in 2026.
Here are a few things you’ll want to consider:
- Guests will not be able to use the Skyliner for dining or resort-hopping. You will need to use a resort-park-resort bus transfer to access these resorts while the Skyliner is down for maintenance. For example, if you were visiting Caribbean Beach, you could take a bus from your resort to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, then take a bus to Caribbean Beach.
- Skyliner Resort guests visiting Epcot will be dropped off at the park’s main entrance while the Skyliner is down. This means you’ll want to adjust your rope drop strategy or base your touring plans differently than you would from the International Gateway.
